GhostReady Settings #
GhostQA allows you to customize various settings for GhostReady, enabling the use of automation code under different conditions and inputs. Users can modify many automation settings directly within GhostQA, eliminating the need to delve into the code.
Below are the Settings –
- Application –
- The Application Setting feature helps identify specific projects within your automation solution.
- Multiple projects can be integrated with GhostQA through the GhostQA connector.
- The setting ensures that test cases remain organized and that the correct paths are maintained in the code.
- When a user runs an In-Built Execution, all associated applications are automatically added to GhostQA.
- Users can add or modify applications directly within GhostQA if needed.
- Browser –
- Browser settings in GhostQA allow users to run automation tests across multiple browsers.
- This feature facilitates cross-browser testing.
- Users need to specify the browsers on which they want to execute the tests.
- The automation code must be compatible with multiple browsers to use this feature.
- Tests can be executed on different browsers without requiring any changes to the code.
- Environment –
- The Environment settings in GhostQA allow users to configure setups for test execution.
- Users can create multiple environments tailored to their needs.
- Each environment consists of a URL (build URL) and a browser.
- Tests will run on the specified URL using the selected browser, as defined in each environment.
- Test Users –
- The “Test User” setting in GhostQA allows automation tests to run using specific, saved user credentials.
- Users provide a username and password for this setting.
- The same credentials are passed to the automation tests during execution.
- This enables consistent and targeted testing across different user profiles.
Scheduler – #
The Scheduler feature allows users to easily schedule their test suites to run at a specific time, either once or on a recurring basis. This enables users to automate their test execution, ensuring that tests run at their preferred times without needing to start them manually.
How to use Scheduler –
On Every node of Test Suite, the scheduler Icon to schedule the test.
Then User can Add a schedule on the basis on his requirement.
Scheduler provides nultiple ways to shcedule a suite i.e.,
- Not Repetitive
- Recurring on daily basis
- Recurring on weekly basis
- Recurring on monthly basis
Email Report Summaries – #
The Email Report Summary feature allows users to receive a summary of test executions via email for a specific period they have scheduled. These reports provide a concise overview of the execution results within the specified timeframe.
Scheduling a Email Report
- Go to Settings> GhostReady.
- GO to Email Report Summary
- Select the Interval
- Select to User whom summary needs to be delivered.
- Click on Save
