GhostQA provides the flexibility to integrate your existing Jira and Zephyr and gain access to our Dashboard feature for tracking test cases and bug metrics.
Requirement – #
- Jira Cloud or Jira Enterprise (v8.14 and above)
- Zephyr Scale (v8.0.0 and above)
GhostQA have few requirements from Jira and Zephyr that are –
- Jira API token for Jira Cloud or Jira Enterprise
- Jira Base URL
- Jira Account Email
- Zephyr Scale Access Token
Procedures to Generate the Token #
Procedure to Create the Jira API Token – (Jira Cloud) –
Follow the below steps to create the API token in JIRA.
- Log in to Jira Software or Confluence
- Click your profile image and select Profile
- Click Manage Your Account
- Navigate to Security and click Create and manage API tokens
- Click Create API token
- Enter a label and click Create
- Click Copy to clipboard, then paste the token to GhostQA.
Procedure to Create the Jira API Token (Jira Enterprise) –
All users are allowed to create their own PATs, which will match their current permission level. To create the tokens, you may follow these steps:
- In Jira, select your profile picture at the top right of the screen, then choose Profile. Once you access your profile, select Personal Access Tokens in the left-hand menu.
- Select Create token.
- Give your new token a name.
- Optionally, for security reasons, you can set your token to automatically expire after a set number of days.
- Click Create.
Your personal access token is created. Copy the token and store it in a safe space.
Procedure to Create the Zephyr Access Token (Zephyr Scale)
You need to generate an access token to use the API for Zephyr Scale. Interacting with the API will need a token for that instance of Jira.
- Click your Jira profile icon and select Zephyr Scale API Access Tokens.
- Select Create access token.
- The pop-up Access token successfully created appears. Select Copy to copy the access token
